Dale Earhardt Jr. commemorated a social media milestone by pledging significant donations.

The NASCAR Hall of Famer announced Tuesday that he’ll give $1 million to various charities after reaching 1 million followers on Instagram. His Dale Jr. Foundation will donate $100,000 each to 10 organizations in 10 cities where most of his followers reside.

Earnhardt named the following 10 charities that met his criteria of “empowerment, education, wellness, hunger, [and] hope.”

  • Regional Food Bank of NE Florida (Jacksonville)
  • Fletcher Place Community Center (Indianapolis)
  • Armer Foundation for Kids (Phoenix)

  • Kids Meals, Inc. (Houston)
  • Nashville Angels
  • New York Common Pantry
  • Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio)
  • Heart of Los Angeles
  • Hope of Mooresville
  • Classroom Central (Charlotte, N.C.)

“It’s exciting times for the foundation and none of this would be possible without the support from the fans and followers,” Earnhardt wrote. “To have the opportunity to give back in this way is truly special, and it’s all due to the tremendous support of the foundation.”

Earnhardt’s foundation noted that he became just the third driver to hit the 1 million follower mark on Instagram. He joins Toni  Breidinger (2.7 million) and Hailie Deegan (1.6 million) as the first male NASCAR personality to reach the milestone.
