At the Armer Foundation For Kids, we believe no one fights alone. Our Healing Touch for Heroes: Oncology Massage Program, in collaboration with Ann Diaz of Relax and Revive LLC, offers free, specialized oncology massage to pediatric cancer patients in the Greater Phoenix area. This program provides gentle, compassionate care to ease pain, reduce stress, and promote healing for children battling cancer.

What is the Healing Touch for Heroes Program?

This unique program delivers safe, tailored oncology massage to children with cancer. Led by Ann Diaz, a licensed massage therapist with specialized training in oncology massage, the program complements medical treatment by addressing physical and emotional challenges, such as pain, fatigue, anxiety, and treatment side effects.

Program Highlights

  • For Kids: Gentle 30–45-minute massage sessions to reduce pain, nausea, and stress, customized for each child’s medical needs.
  • Free Introductory Session: A 30-minute oncology massage for newly diagnosed patients to introduce the benefits of the program.
  • Safe and Compassionate Care: Provided by Ann Diaz, ensuring sessions are adapted for medical conditions, devices, and treatment side effects.
  • Locations: Sessions offered at a designated  wellness space, or Relax and Revive LLC’s facility in Phoenix, AZ.

Oncology massage is a specialized, evidence-based therapy designed for cancer patients. It has been shown to:

How to Get Involved

  • For Families: Pediatric cancer patients (ages 0–18) are eligible. Contact us to schedule a free introductory session or request a referral from your medical team.
  • Medical Clearance: All patients need approval from their oncologist to ensure safety.

I am a passionate and highly skilled massage therapist dedicated to promoting wellness and relieving stress through the power of touch. Drawing upon my extensive training and experience, I specialize in a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, pregnancy massage, Reiki therapy, Oncology massage, aromatherapy, hot/cold stone therapy and cupping.

 

My intuitive touch and attention to detail allow me to identify areas of tension and customize treatments to provide optimal relaxation and pain relief. My journey into the world of massage therapy began with my own personal experience of finding solace and healing through massage during a challenging time in my life. Inspired by the profound impact it had on my physical and emotional well-being, I embarked on a comprehensive training program at Phoenix College of Massage Therapy, where I graduated with honors and refined my skills under the guidance of industry experts. Committed to continuous learning and growth, I stay updated on the latest massage techniques and research to offer my clients the most effective and innovative treatments available. I believe in the power of education and I take pride in empowering my clients with knowledge about self-care practices to enhance their overall well-being.

During each session, I create a tranquil and nurturing environment, combining soothing music, calming scents, and a warm, welcoming demeanor.
