At the Armer Foundation for Kids, we get to walk alongside Phoenix families every single day who are facing the unthinkable: a child diagnosed with cancer, Type 1 Diabetes, epilepsy, an organ transplant, or another life-altering medical condition. Since we were founded in 2019 by Jennifer and Matt Armer right here in our hometown, our whole reason for existing has been simple: to lift some of the crushing financial weight so parents can focus on hope, healing, and holding their child’s hand instead of drowning in medical bills.
We help cover the expenses insurance often leaves behind—copays, premiums, deductibles, travel for treatment, and so much more—so these brave families never have to choose between paying rent and paying for their child’s care. Every time we send a grant, we get to remind them: You’ve got your Armer.

One of the Smartest, Most Impactful Ways You Can Stand With Us: Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)
Over the years, we’ve seen how incredibly powerful and personal long-term giving can be. That’s why we’re so excited to talk about Donor-Advised Funds—a flexible, tax-smart way to support our Armer Kids that many of our most dedicated supporters already use.
Here’s how it works in plain English:
You open a charitable giving account (your DAF), contribute cash, appreciated stocks, real estate, or other assets right away, and receive an immediate tax deduction—often up to 60% of your adjusted gross income for cash gifts.
Your gift then sits in the fund, invested and growing completely tax-free. Whenever you’re ready—next month, next year, or even years from now—you simply recommend a grant to the Armer Foundation for Kids (or any other qualified charity).
It’s that easy, and it’s incredibly meaningful for us.
A DAF lets you:
• Give when it makes the most sense for you financially (maybe after a bonus, the sale of stock, or an inheritance)
• Avoid capital gains taxes on appreciated assets, so more of your money actually reaches families • Keep your giving flexible and private while still making a huge local impact

We’ve watched DAFs become a beautiful bridge between generous hearts and the real, urgent needs of our families.
