Chandler mom Cassie Velez readily admits, there is no good kind of cancer. However, she feels fortunate that the kind that her 5-year-old daughter Ellie is dealing with is not as life-threatening as other types.
“It sounds weird to say, if you want to have cancer, this is kind of the one that she would want on her kidney,” Cassie said. “It has a 94% survivability, so that’s good news.”
Cassie said the trouble began last August, about a month before Ellie’s 5th birthday.
